Over one-thousand people gathered in Downtown Asheville, North Carolina Saturday to participate in the worldwide day of actions against Monsanto.  The rally and march coincided with similar demonstrations in over 300 cities across the world, with an estimated 50 million people participating, according to the Huffington Post.

Global Justice Ecology Project and the Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered Trees are in town for a week of actions against GE trees at a major industry conference, and were a featured part of the rally and march.
